Playful Enjoyment of life is Natural
Playful enjoyment of life is a natural ability and not something we need to create or work hard to achieve. That would only make these qualities more remote. It is determined though, by how successfully we process and integrate life experience. This means processing massive amounts of information (sensory, emotional, intellectual, spiritual) and responding in a way that enables us to build on our previous experience for fulfillment and joyfulness. Being able to do this naturally, fluidly, and adaptively is essential.
The optimal functioning of our rational mind is critical as it enables us to evaluate, plan, and make considered decisions. Beyond the rational mind though is the unconscious mind. This sits outside our awareness and is where emotional healing takes place and we process and integrate life experience. Over time, understanding, insight, wisdom, etc. comes forward and facilitates natural awareness development and improved quality of life.
There is no clear boundary between the conscious and unconscious mind and they overlap with a high level of interactivity. Not only is the functioning of each important to quality of life, but the interactivity and effective multi-dimensional communication between them is equally important.
